On July 25
th, Owen turned the big
2 years old. He didn't really understand the significance of his birthday, but he was pretty excited about the cake that I was making. He thought it was pretty funny as I sang Happy Birthday to him all day long too. And there was no denying his enthusiasm when he was the one allowed to rip open the wrapping paper on the gifts. Owen was a happy birthday boy, for sure!
It was Jason's first day back to work after paternity leave, but we were adequately distracted with lots of family visiting. We were planning on having a fun, relaxing BBQ in our new backyard, but wouldn't you know it, it rained and rained all day long. So, instead of hanging outside and playing lawn games, we all crammed inside to enjoy our BBQ food. Thank goodness we now have a house large enough to hold the 25 family members who helped Owen celebrate! Both sets of grandparents, Aunt Keri, Aunt
DooDah and Uncle Rob, Aunt Tammy and Uncle Jerry and lots of cousins came to the party. That's a lot of fun!
Happy Birthday, Owen! You are an adorable 2 year old with a sweet personality, hearty chuckle and infectious grin. We love you!

Hamburgers, hot dogs and lots of chips!

One of Owen's favorite gifts: a VERY sturdy (and hard) baseball bat.

And his very own bike helmet... now Avery doesn't have to pry
her's off Owen's head to ride her bike.

Avery enjoying Owen's new Thomas toothbrush... Owen loves it, contrary to what his face may show

This year he used a fork! :)
