Happy Halloween

Halloween was a huge hit at our house this year! Avery began planning out her costume long before. Of course, she kept changing her mind too. Avery finally decided to be a black cat. She was quite cute!

Here is Avery headed to her preschool Halloween party with Daddy.

Owen decided that he wanted to be a chocolate chip cookie. I made his costume out of felt with my Mom's help. He looked adorable. He even had a chocolate chip hat. That is Owen's answer to every question someone now asks him...
"Owen, what are you going to be for Halloween?" "A COOKIE!"
"Owen, how old are you?" "A COOKIE!"
"How are you today?" "A COOKIE!"

Addie was a cute little Snuggle Bunny

Our new neighborhood is awe-some for trick-or-treating. There were families arriving by the busloads to come trick-or-treat. We had heard that you need a ton of candy. We only walked through 3 blocks and the kids got so much candy! It was a cold, but very fun night. Owen wanted to head home after about 45 minutes. Avery could have stayed out all night. Jason took Owen and Addie home after an hour, and Avery and I stayed out a little longer. By the time we made it to the last few homes, Avery's fingers were so frozen that she had to ring the doorbell with her wrist. We came home and drank hot chocolate and munched on candy.

We had to make a little learning opportunity out of all those treats. Avery created this huge graph for 15 different kinds of candy she had. Owen wanted to have a graph too...

And this picture I just loved...
