Now that he is getting older, we have had fun testing out new foods with him. Unfortunately, Avery has developed taste buds similar to mine, which makes for some incredibly picky eating. It will be really refreshing if Owen takes after Jason - eat anything and everything. So far, his appetite seems to take after his Dad. Owen can eat and eat, and never seems to get full. And when his bowl is empty?!? Well... Avery has already learned to plug her ears as she yells (to be heard over Owen's indignant shrieking), "It's All Gone Owen!"
Owen loves crackers
Now, we have found one food that Owen isn't too crazy about: Peas! Don't get me wrong, he still ate the whole container, but his enthusiasm was lackluster at best.
Maybe it's genetic....
Avery wasn't a fan either.... (March 2007)
(Notice they are wearing the same bib? A great teacher friend gave this to me at Avery's baby shower... it says, "Give Peas a Chance." Ah Nancy, you know me well.)

Hahaha!!! Owen cracks me up! Cute cute cute!
I can't believe he's 25 lbs! He's so close to being what Collin is/was. Only 2 lbs behind. And, Collin hated baby food peas at that age, but now LOVES big boy peas. He picks them up one by one and gobbles them! Owen is quite the cutie! Love the pictures :)
What a happy little chunk! I say that with love, all my babies were chunky too! Chunky and happy! What a crack-up that Avery shouts when his food is gone and covers her ears!
Ha ha. He's bigger than my 19 month old. Wow. And the peas..have you tasted those?! He'd probably love it more if you just dished him up a plate of food at dinner time just like the rest of you :o)!
I didn't realize he was so big, either!! He is really close to Collin. What a cute, chunky boy! I love the blonde blonde hair. Handsome, Handsome, Handsome. I wish I could get my baby to guzzle 8 oz. in his bottle. I can barely get him to drink 5. He loves Daddy's soda though.
