It's All Gone, Owen!

Anyone who has held our 25 pound, 9 month old can attest to the fact that Owen loves to eat! When his bottle runs out, his protests are heard far and wide. He can down 8 ounces in less than 6 minutes. Simply put: He loves food!

Now that he is getting older, we have had fun testing out new foods with him. Unfortunately, Avery has developed taste buds similar to mine, which makes for some incredibly picky eating. It will be really refreshing if Owen takes after Jason - eat anything and everything. So far, his appetite seems to take after his Dad. Owen can eat and eat, and never seems to get full. And when his bowl is empty?!? Well... Avery has already learned to plug her ears as she yells (to be heard over Owen's indignant shrieking), "It's All Gone Owen!"

This is a cool contraption that you put frozen fruit into. Owen is sucking on frozen strawberries.

He grips on tight and gives that look, "Don't even think about taking this away."

Now, we have found one food that Owen isn't too crazy about: Peas! Don't get me wrong, he still ate the whole container, but his enthusiasm was lackluster at best.

Maybe it's genetic....

Avery wasn't a fan either.... (March 2007) (Notice they are wearing the same bib? A great teacher friend gave this to me at Avery's baby shower... it says, "Give Peas a Chance." Ah Nancy, you know me well.)
