Owen was beside himself with excitement. We got to ride in a car, take a shuttle bus, fly on a plane, ride an underground train, take another shuttle bus, and get in a new car - all in one evening. He loves different forms of transportation. :)
We got in late, late on Friday night. Jason and Nathan went golfing on Saturday and then we had a big family dinner that evening. The kids did fairly well, but they were getting mighty squirrely after 3 hours in a fancy restaurant.
The wedding was on Sunday evening on a beach. Melissa looked beautiful, and Avery would have loved to hold her hand all night long. Of course, just as the ceremony was about to begin, Avery informed us that she needed to go to the bathroom. The only public restroom was at least 1/2 mile down the beach. So, Jason asked some strangers, who lived in a house right on the beach, if she could use their bathroom. Luckily, they were very nice.
The ceremony was short and very nice. Uncle Nathan and Aunt Melissa were cute and so happy. They did a few pictures, and then we headed to a local Italian restaurant for a celebration dinner. We are so glad that we were able to go and enjoy such a special event with Jason's brother. We love Melissa and are very happy that she has joined the family. We hope to be able to see them again soon!

What a great looking couple
Our fam at the beachOn Monday and Tuesday, we did a little sightseeing with the kids. We headed to a lighthouse nearby and a national cemetery. The kids enjoyed getting out and seeing new things.
